## How Electricians Can Get More Google Reviews Using Automation By Haydon, Revamp Automation. I've spent 8 years running Watt & Co. Electrical before founding Revamp Automation, which has helped UK trade businesses generate over 1,000 Google reviews.

Three businesses appear at the top of Google when a customer searches "electrician near me." or "electrician in [YOUR AREA]". You want to be in those 3 results and review volume and recency are two of the strongest signals determining who those three businesses are.

Most electricians are fantastic sparks and have customers who'd happily leave a five-star review but they typically don't get asked to leave a review! Madness!

Ask at the Right Time

These days, I set myself up for reviews. When I send my clients a quote they get a little bit of information that says most of our clients find us through recommendations and we'd hope they would recommend us by leaving is a review.

Getting the timings and requests right can mean a flow of regular reviews. One of my clients managed to get 11 reviews in 2 years. He came on board with me and literally doubled that within 2 months!

Keep the Message Simple

A short, direct request outperforms a long one every time. If you don't ask, you don't get.

Volume Beats Rating

You might get that odd customer who leaves you a 4 star review even though everything was perfect but don't worry about it. There are just people like that out there.

You might even get the odd 1 star review but let me tell you that IT DOESN'T MATTER. (as long as it's a 1 off and you're not constantly getting bad reviews)

Google loves activity on your account. Regular reviews are what matters most.

Speaking of regular activity....

Respond to Every Review

Google has confirmed that responding to reviews is a local ranking signal. Responses add keyword-rich content to your Google Business Profile and signal that your business is active.

Two sentences per response is enough. Reference the job type, thank the customer, include your business name. AI drafts these in seconds. You post it and move on.

The work you're already doing is good enough to earn those reviews. Automation makes sure you ask every time.
